Where Can US Citizens Travel Right Now?

With many eager-to-travel Americans now having options when it comes to where they can travel internationally, we have created a list of those countries and their requirements.
Americans CAN Travel to:
(With some requirements)
Albania
Americans are allowed to enter without presenting any test results or having to quarantine they do however require anyone over the age of 11 to year masks in both indoor and outdoor public spaces and also enforce a curfew of 6 pm.
Anguilla
Pre-approved tourists and those who present a negative test within 3-5 days before arriving, from certain countries are allowed entrance. Visitors must prove they also have health insurance that would cover anything in the event of catching COVID-19 and must isolate in an approved location for 10 days.
Antigua and Barbuda
Those 12 years and older must present a negative RT-PCR test within 7 days of their flight.
Argentina
Visitors must have been vaccinated at least 14 days prior to entrance and present a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours. You will also have to fill out an “Affidavit of Migration” and proof of insurance that covers COVID-19.
Armenia
Americans must present a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours of arrival or get tested upon arrival. Masks are required, if you do not wear one you may be faced with a fine.
Aruba
Travelers must present proof of a negative molecular COVID-19 test taken within 2 days as well as complete an Embarkation/Disembarkation card and purchase Aruba Visitors Insurance.
Bahamas
If you test negative within three days of departure and apply for a Bahamas Health Travel Visa you will not need to partake in the island’s mandatory quarantine. Those who are not vaccinated will have to quarantine, take the test within 3 days and then test a second time on their fifth day. You are also required to get mandatory COVID-19 health insurance. While there, you will be required to wear a mask in public indoor spaces.
Barbados
You have to show a negative PCR test within 3 days of the entrance, and a rapid test within one day of travel. Those who are fully vaccinated will have to take a second PCR test upon arrival and those unvaccinated must quarantine for a minimum of 5 days before taking a second test.
You must also fill out an immigration form and download their BIMSafe app which is used for checking in while also partaking in temperature monitoring for the first seven days after arriving.
Bahrain
You must be tested upon arrival at your own expense, if you test negative you will not need to quarantine but if you plan on staying 10 days or longer you will need to be retested on your tenth day.
Belarus
Currently, no COVID-19 restrictions for travelers however you should expect a temperature check at the airport.
Belize
Travelers are recommended to book at a hotel that complies with their nine-point initiatives - those that implement health and safety standards. You have the option to take a test 96 hours before departure or a rapid test 48 hours before departure. Those who are fly vaccinated (within 2 weeks of arrival) are exempt from any testing requirements.
Bermuda
You will have to apply for a Bermuda COVID-19 Travel Authorization within 3 days prior to entrance, this document must be submitted within 24 hours before. You will also need to present a negative test, taken no more than five days prior to arrival.
Those who do not test before arrival you will have to quarantine for 8 days and wear a quarantine bracelet for which you will be charged $300.
Bolivia
Travelers must arrive with a negative test taken within 10 days of arrival if coming from a North American country, Europe or Asia. Face masks are required in public spaces.
Botswana
If you have tested negative within 72 hours of departure to Botswana you may enter, those who do not meet testing requirements must quarantine for 14 days.
Brazil
Visitors must present a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours and fill out a Traveler’s Health Declaration online. Those 12 years and older are exempt from testing.
Bonaire
Vaccinated Americans when traveling to Bonaire via Curacao must arrive with a negative test taken 23 hours prior to arrival or a negative PCR test, taken within 48 hours. Those who are unvaccinated must present a negative PCR test within 48 hours.
Those traveling must also complete an online health declaration.
Bosnia and Herzegovina
You can visit as long as you present a negative test taken no more than 48 hours before arrival. Most are open however masks are required and a nightly curfew is in place.
Cambodia
Those who are fully vaccinated are no longer required to quarantine and travelers must enter with a negative covid test taken within 72 hours and proof of full vaccination.
Canada
American travelers must be fully vaccinated for a minimum of 2 weeks, test negative before entering, carry paper copies of their vaccination records, and upload their documents to the ArriveCAN app or website.
Chile
Present a negative test within 72 hours and proof of health insurance that covers COVID-19 while also filling out a mobility pass which will reduce your mandatory quarantine period from 7 to 5 days.
Columbia
Americans must complete the MIgracion Columbia’s Check-Mig Immigration Form and present a negative test no more than 96 hours prior to arrival, their country’s water and land borders however do remain closed and popular airports are limiting international flights.
Costa Rica
Welcomes US Travellers after completing an online Health Pass form within 48 hours of arrival and showing proof of COVID-19 health insurance.
Croatia
Croatia is allowing visitors from an EU or EEA country, the US, Australia, and Japan. Those arriving from a country on the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control’s green list do not need to present a negative test but those not on that list will have to.
Curacao
Visitors must present a negative test taken within 72 hours of arrival and fill out an online immigration card and Passenger Locator Card. You will also need to have health insurance that covers COVID-19.
Czech Republic
Present a negative test within 3 days and complete a passenger locator form.
The Democratic Republic of The Congo
Americans must register online and be tested again at the airport (at their own expense) and self-quarantine until the results get back. You will also need to get tested again within 3 days of leaving. You will also have to present a World Health Organization card with proof of yellow fever vaccination.
Denmark
The county is currently only accepting EMA-approved vaccines taken within 2 weeks of arrival, those unable to get vaccinated (children, women that are pregnant or breastfeeding) will have to be tested upon entry.
Vaccinations are exempt from pre-arrival testing and quarantine.
Djibouti
You can enter with a negative test taken within 72 hours and get tested upon arrival with a saliva test, however, if you arrive on a flight that had a large percentage of passengers test positive you may be subject to a follow-up nasal test.
Dominica
Those from high-risk countries such as the United States will have to provide a negative test and submit an online health questionnaire. When arriving you will have to take a rapid test if negative you will need to be taken to either a “safe in nature” priority or quarantine location for 5 days, on the fifth you will be retested and medically cleared if negative.
Dominican Republic
Visitors are no longer required to show proof of a negative test and testing will be done at random rather than required. Travelers will have to however fill out a Travelers Health Affidavit before arrival.
Ecuador
If you provide a negative test you are able to skip the mandatory quarantine.
Egypt
Travelers must have a visa to visit, show a negative test taken within 96 hours, have a paper copy NOT digital of the results, and have health insurance. Once there you will notice an increase in health and safety protocols.
El Salvador
Americans are allowed if presented with a negative test taken within 72 hours.
Finland
The country is open to all vaccinated individuals and those unvaccinated from low-risk countries without having to present a negative test. American travelers will have to show proof of vaccination.
France
Vaccinated Americans are allowed entrance with a negative covid test within 72 hours of entry.
French Polynesia
You must show proof of vaccination or immunity, and upload the proof to their ETIS.pf. Those who can’t present either will have to quarantine for 10 days and test upon arrival and 4 days after.
Germany
Americans must be vaccinated, complete a European Medicines Agency-accepted vaccination course, and show proof of recovery from COVID-19 within 6 months or a negative test within 72 hours of traveling to Germany.
Ghana
Visitors must present a negative test taken within 72 hours and undergo a second test upon arrival.
Greece
Vaccinated travelers can enter without presenting a negative test, unvaccinated will have to present a negative test taken within 72 hours. All will have to fill out a Passenger Locator Form and then will be sent a QR code from the Greek government to show it has been completed - that you will then present upon entry.
Grenada
Visitors will have to present proof of vaccination and a negative test taken within 72 hours.
Guatemala
10 and older must present a negative test taken within 96 hours, fill out an immigration pre-check form, and complete a Health Pass.
Haiti
Travelers must provide a negative test taken 72 hours prior to their entry.
Honduras
You must present a negative test, there is no curfew in place but if out after 10 pm you must carry your vaccination card. Currently, bars, nightclubs, concerts, and fairs are still prohibited.
Iceland
Americans can enter with proof of a vaccine approved by the European Medicines Agency (Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna, Astra Zeneca, or J&J). Those who are fully vaccinated will not need to quarantine.
Ireland
Unvaccinated individuals must present a negative test within 72 hours of arrival but those vaccinated will not need to.
Israel
Vaccinated travelers are allowed and must present a negative PCR test within 72 hours of entry as well as a test upon arrival.
Italy
“COVID-Free Flights” are available to both the vaccinated and unvaccinated, the flights are run by Delta and depart from New York City and Atlanta, these flights have passengers tested before departure and at arrival therefore not needing to quarantine.
Jamaica
Arrivals must present a negative test or antigen test within 72 hours of entry, and apply 7 days before arrival children 12 and under are exempt.
Kenya
American citizens are allowed to travel to Kenya if presenting a negative PCR test taken within 96 hours of arrival, take a temperature check and present no COVID-19 symptoms.
Kosovo
Americans must present a negative test taken within 72 hours.
Liberia
If you are able to present a negative COVID test you will no longer need to quarantine, both vaccinated and unvaccinated will need to present a test.
Lebanon
American visitors must present a negative test taken within 96 hours, take another test at the airport, and quarantine until test results are back. Those who are vaccinated or have immunity will not need to go through testing and quarantine protocols.
Maldives
Those who present a negative test taken within 96 hours will not need to quarantine.
Malta
As the first country to reach herd immunity, Malta allows vaccinated travelers entry.
Mexico
U.S. travelers do not need to present a negative test or proof of vaccination.
Montenegro
Travelers must show either a negative test or a positive antibody test taken within 72 hours.
Morocco
Travelers from countries Morocco has deemed safe, which includes the United States, will be allowed entrance upon presenting a negative test taken no more than 48 hours prior to entrance.
Namibia
U.S. travelers must present a negative test taken within 72 hours prior to arrival.
Nepal
Visiting Nepal will require a few steps including; obtaining a visa, a negative test taken at a minimum 72 hours prior to entrance, and a hotel booking where they can quarantine for 7 days.
Netherlands
The Netherlands considers the United States to be a “very high-risk area” and therefore all travelers must present a negative test taken within 48 hours prior to arrival or a rapid antigen test taken within 24 hours.
Nicaragua
Americans are allowed entrance as long as they present a negative test and will not be required to quarantine.
North Macedonia
U.S. travelers must present proof of vaccination, show they have recovered from COVID within the past 45 days, or a negative test is taken at least 72 hours prior to entrance.
Pakistan
Individuals must provide contact information through their PassTrack mobile app or online, undergo health screening, and provide proof of a negative test taken within 72 hours prior to traveling.
Panama
Vaccinated travelers may enter without presenting a test however those unvaccinated will need to provide a negative test taken at least 48 hours prior to arrival. All travelers must complete an electronic affidavit.
Peru
You can enter as long as you have a negative PCR test or antigen test, or medical certification of epidemiological discharge within 72 hours of entry.
Portugal
Americans are required to provide proof of a negative test taken within 72 hours prior to arrival or an antigen taken 24 hours prior to arrival.
Qatar
Qatar accepts entry to fully vaccinated Americans without having to quarantine, provides a negative test upon arrival taken 12 hours before landing, and uploads to their ‘Ehteraz’ website.
Rwanda
Travelers must show proof of a negative test taken no more than 72 hours before their arrival, will undergo a second test upon entry which costs $60, and fill out a Passenger Location Form.
Singapore
Only fully vaccinated travelers are allowed to enter the country and visit without quarantining.
Spain
Vaccinated travelers are allowed, those that are unvaccinated may travel here upon presenting a negative test and provided they are from a low-risk country - as defined by the Spanish government.
St. Barts
Vaccinated Americans are allowed to enter with a negative test taken at least 48 hours prior to arrival.
St. Kitts and Nevis
Upon entering, visitors must submit a negative test taken at least 72 hours before arrival and fill out an entry form online.
St. Lucia
Travelers must present a negative test taken within five days of arrival and complete a pre-arrival travel registration form. The unvaccinated will need to quarantine for 14 days.
St. Vincent and the Grenadines
Visitors must complete a pre-arrival form, show a negative test taken within 72 hours, may be tested again at the airport, and complete a mandatory 14-day quarantine at an approved hotel.
St. Maarten
When traveling to St. Marteen visitors will have to fill out an online immigration card and present a negative test taken within 120 hours prior to arrival.
Senegal
You are allowed entrance as long as you present a negative test taken within five days, children under you years old are exempt.
Serbia
Travelers are required to show proof of negative test results or a rapid antigen test taken within 48 hours of arrival - children 12 and under are exempt. Serbia currently has a ban on public gatherings for more than 5 people.
Seychelles
The country is open to vaccinated individuals and the unvaccinated who test negative 72 hours prior to departure.
South Africa
Visitors have to present a negative test taken within 72 hours of departure and install the COVID Alert, South Africa, mobile app.
Switzerland
Americans must present a negative test taken within 72 hours before travel.
Sri Lanka
American travelers are expected to take a COVID-19 test prior to entry, the vaccinated will have to quarantine in a government-mandated hotel for 1-2 days while waiting for results and the unvaccinated will need to quarantine for 2 weeks.
Tanzania
All travelers must fill out a Health Surveillance form on their plane ride to Tanzania.
Thailand
Thailand is accepting vaccinated travelers planning to stay in the country for a minimum of 21 days.
Turkey
All visitors 6 years and older must provide proof of a PCR test taken within 72 hours of their flight to Turkey, you will also need to test at the airport.
Turks and Caicos
Tourists must present a negative test taken within 3 days of arrival, present proof of health insurance, and complete some paperwork.
Ukraine
American tourists must either self-quarantine, take a test upon arrival or arrive with a negative test taken within 72 hours, and show they have medical insurance that covers COVID-19.
United Arab Emirates
Visitors are allowed upon presenting a negative test taken within 96 hours and travel insurance.
Uganda
You may enter Uganda if you present a negative test taken within 120 hours of departure, pass a health screening, and will have to be tested again within 120 hours of leaving the country.
United Kingdom
Unvaccinated tourists will need to present a negative test, those who are vaccinated will not have to present a test or quarantine.
Zambia
Tourists are required to show a negative test taken within 7 days of travel, fill out a traveler health questionnaire and be subject to random testing.
Zimbabwe
