Located at Grand Canyon West is its most exhilarating attraction: the Grand Canyon Skywalk! On this awe-inspiring cantilever glass bridge, you’ll have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to walk on air, suspended 4,000 feet above the beautiful Colorado River!

What to Know

Nestled at Eagle Point on the Hualapai Reservation, the Skywalk is a thrilling adventure (not a part of Grand Canyon National Park!) Guests of all ages, including children (if they can walk) are welcome to experience the Skywalk and witness breathtaking views of the Grand Canyon. Personal belongings such as purses, backpacks, cell phones, and cameras are not allowed on the Skywalk—but don't worry, free lockers are available for storage!

Crafted at a staggering cost of $30 million, the Grand Canyon Skywalk emerged through a collaboration between the Hualapai Indian tribe and the visionary Chinese-American entrepreneur, David Jin. Engineered to brave winds whipping at 100 mph, its robust frame boasts an astonishing 100 million pounds of steel, ensuring an enduring testament to human ingenuity amidst the breathtaking natural splendor of the Grand Canyon!

If you want to capture your precious moments, have professional photographers do them! You can buy your photos later either as individual prints or on a USB drive. Peak hours are between 11:00 am and 4:00 pm Mountain Standard Time. Make sure to visit in the morning if you want a quieter experience!

How to Get There

You can reach Grand Canyon West via Highway 93 from Las Vegas, Nevada, or Kingman, Arizona. As you can't drive to Grand Canyon West on your own, there's a free hop-on, hop-off shuttle service available from offsite parking to the Skywalk. The best and smartest way to go there is by booking guided Grand Canyon Skywalk tours that include transportation to the attraction!

Best Time to Visit

Visiting Grand Canyon West without going to the Skywalk is unheard of! Make sure to check this item off your bucket list whenever you visit Arizona. The late fall to early spring months of October through February offer the best weather conditions and fewer crowds for a perfect Skywalk experience. So plan during these months and get ready for an adventure of a lifetime to stand almost on air on a glass-floored bridge jutting out over the West Rim of the Grand Canyon!
